What is your organization’s role in the project? What unique contribution does it bring to the team?
IDIAP is the technical coordinator in the CERTAIN project. As such Idiap is involved in every work-package (WP) of the project. Specifically, Idiap is the leader of WP6 and expects to make significant contributions in WP4 and WP5 also.
How do you think CERTAIN will contribute to the Artificial Intelligence landscape in Europe?
At present there exists a significant level of scepticism towards AI, among the general public. CERTAIN will promote widespread acceptance of AI by the general public in Europe, and possibly outside Europe as well, by providing solutions to enhance trustworthiness of AI technologies. That would, in turn, increase productivity, and create new business opportunities in many areas.
